Race Report: Run Pacer’s St. Patty’s Day 8K

I am so excited that I got to run the Run Pacers St. Patrick’s Day 8K again last week.  As usual, Run Pacers ran a fantastic race.  The weather was perfect and I had the best time, pretty much ever.  Jaime and I met up again this year and ran the race together.  It’s a great match because me+Jaime=a few seconds PR!!

The first stop was the photo booth.  It’s a fun addition to Pacer’s races courtesy of Swim, Bike Run Photography!  Obvs, MB and I enjoyed ourselves.  photo 2 photo 3

MB is thrilled that this photo is in heavy circulation.

After our photo shenanigans, we met up with Jaime and it was time to get to running!

The run, was, as usual, amazing.  Jaime and I fell into an easy, fun pace and we took in the beautiful morning and the sites of downtown.  One of the best sites was Woodrow Wilson.  We were absolutely tickled by him!  Apparently tickled enough to bust on a 38 second PR!

Mile 1:  10:49

Mile 2:  10:55

Mile 3:  10:13

Mile 4:  10:31

Mile 5:  10:08

After the race, I met MB and work bestie, Sarah and we were off to brunch!  Thank GOD for bottomless mimosas and unending waffles.

I really cannot say enough about Pacers events.  Everything was so well run, tons of happy, helpful volunteers, the photo booth was so fun, everything was awesome.  I cannot wait to run a bunch of their 5K races this summer.  If you have a chance, make sure to check out their awesome training runs and programs and of course their races — you’ll be pretty pleased that you did.

Did you run a St. Patty’s Day Race?  How about any other Pacer’s events.

Disclosure:  Pacers graciously provided me with a complimentary registration for this race.  All of my opinions — especially the gushy ones — are honest and my own.

Yay!!! I’ve run ONE 8k in my life and it was one of my first races ever. I like the distance, need to find more. 🙂

I ran a 5k over the weekend with my husband. Good times!
