Here we are dominating 2014!
My severe plantar fasciitis has been on the mend. It has been a long, hard, dry needling road. The physical therapy for PF is excruciating. So many hard stretches for the part of my body that just doesn’t want to stretch. So much dry needling on my calves. Heavy, burny strength conditioning. Finally, I’m pain free!! And cleared to run.
Weeks ago my physical therapist crushed my half and full marathon dreams. I’ve been holding my breath to participate in the 5K and this week, my new dreams have come true! I’ve been running very small, very slow intervals on the treadmill and am gearing up to walk the PGH Marathon 5K! I’ve never participated in the 5K during the marathon weekend and I could not be more excited!
I’m never excited to be in Pittsburgh!
Also for Pittsburgh I’ve volunteered for the social team! I’ll be covering the start and finish line. You’ll be getting about 1 million photos and videos from yours truly. I am so thrilled to be able to give back to the Pittsburgh Marathon. They have been so supportive and understanding as I’ve dealt with this injury. I’m going to do a the very best LNRB job and I can’t wait to be back in 2018 — hopefully healthy and in fighting shape.
